Say hello to our Thames Trail winners – and get ready for 2025!

Josh Chamberlain led from start to finish to win our Thames Trail Ultra earlier this month.

The 47-mile point-to-point race, which runs from Iffley in Oxfordshire to Henley-on-Thames, took place on Sunday, October 19, with Katie Harris coming home first in the women’s event.

Runners took on everything from tarmac paths to muddy trails as the weather held firm despite sometimes grey skies. Thames Trial is one of our most picturesque runs, taking in ever-changing scenery, including beautiful houses and traditional rowing clubs.

Winner Josh didn’t put a trainer wrong, getting his navigation spot on throughout the race despite being on his own throughout.

This year, participants enjoyed our new finish line home at the YMCA Centre, where they were greeted by a big hall, kitchen, male and female changing rooms, toilets and showers.

Thames Trail also represented the end of another UK season for Go Beyond, with just the small matter of a trip to Nepal for our International Capital to Country Multi-Day Ultra to come at the end of November.

It was fantastic to see four runners complete our Grand Slam of ultras, with Elizabeth Phipps setting the fastest collective time across our Country to Capital, Rose of the Shires, Shires and Spires, and Thames Trail events.

We hope you’ve enjoyed this year’s events… and that we’ll see as many of you as possible for the 2025 curtain raising Country to Capital Ultra.
